Collection: City Pigeon
We love the London pigeon! One of the most popular tourist attractions in London, for many years , was feeding the pigeons in Trafalgar Square and it was immortalised by the song Feed the Birds in the 1964 Film Mary Poppins. Trafalgar Square was named after British Naval victory at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. It was designed by John Nash and constructed in the 1830’s. Even before it was completed pigeons started to flock there and soon feed sellers set up their stalls to sell bags of feed to tourists. According to Wikipedia at one time there were 35,000 pigeons in the square!
