Collection: City Taxi

Our Taxi design celebrates one of the symbols of London city life, the black taxi cab. First created by the Austin Motor Company in 1930,  the iconic Austin FX3 and FX4 models prevailed for nearly 70 years. But did you know that the first hired transportation service in London started over 300 years ago in 1662! It was called “Hackney Carriages” and was carried out by horse drawn carriages. The name comes from the village of Hackney, Middlesex, which supplied many of the horses.
